One of the best strategy/board games I’ve ever played, developed maybe a decade ago. I hadn’t thought of it in a while, but I just had a lull between turns in WWF games and thought how cool it would be if there were (or were to be) a version of Proximity for mobile. It was developed and got moderate exposure as a Flash-based game, so obviously it needed to be updated to support the platform(s) and updated to support two-player and not just PvC play.
I just checked Google Play, and I see there is, at least, an Android version. I don’t know if there’s an ios version, and if so whether they are inter-operable.
But…I’m going to be installing the game and checking it out. If anyone’s interested in playing, let me know or hit me up there with the obvious username.
Edit:
I just installed and started it up. Idiots. Firstly, the only account option is to sign up with a GTalk account. That’s pretty limiting, but I could consider it. But…yeah…they don’t appear to use OAuth; they expect me to type my Google password into their app. Are they fucking kidding me? In 2012 they expect me to share a fucking password?!
