You’re a youngun, I take it? Theme songs are just short, quick, ten seconds of noise before the show, right? Mike Post, Lalo Schifrin, Nelson Riddle, the Ventures, hell even Waylon Jennings have scored hits with TV themes. I see nothing wrong with that, and I think the original SWAT theme song was quite solid.
Here’s a list of theme songs that have made the Billboard charts. I’d rather listen to half of them than, wow…I just looked at the Billboard top ten… I’d rather listen to most of these theme songs than almost all of the current top ten.
